When Money Fails...



In my walk in life I found out that money is limited.
Yet we can do all we can all in a bid to get the money that cant even afford the things that are most important to us.
People do all sort to make this money.
They kill, they steal, they manipulate, they trade their values. Its very pathetic.
Sadly enough when they get this money, the only things they can afford are just physical things, cars, houses, properties, just name it.
Sure they can pay for all those.

My question is this. How much can you pay for your life, health, love, safety, good relationships, joy, happiness, wisdom, peace etc?
You can pay for health care but it can't guarantee your health
you can pay for education but it can't buy you wisdom or knowledge.
You can pay for security services but it won't guarantee you safety.
I have seen rich men who would give all they had just to have a sound health.

If only we had the right values


Money can fail.
Remember the recession, so many rich people became poor in no time.
Money failed


Now don't get me wrong. I'm not saying money is bad
You need money to do alot of things in life, you have to pay your bills, feed, buy some good things in life,
But loving money and holding it so dearly as if it can solve all our problems and satisfy all our needs.

The E72's 5 Mega Pixel

As an hobby, I love taking photographs and I have found the E72 very handy.
Especially with the quality of images you can get from a 5 Mega Pixel on a phone. This is another great feature of the E72.

Navigation with the E72

One great feature I have enjoyed in the Nokia E72 is the GPS + Nokia Maps. Its a free Global Navigation system
I have been navigation with the phone and realise you cant miss your way with it.
You can search for streets, roads and location. 
It can assist you in driving to a particular location by determining the best route to your destination.
The interesting part is if you decide to drive or walk using another route it automatically gives you an alternative route to your destination.

When driving with the map, it shows your speed, the time it will take to reach your destination,  the total distance and the distance to the next turn.



 It also shows the name of the street you are on and the street you are heading to.

UNBOXING THE E72...

A few weeks back, I was introduced to the WOMworld/Nokia program that allows you to have a two-week trial of some selected Nokia mobile phone by a blogger friend of mine. So I got the phone delivered this week.

I'm loving the E72 so far. It has got great features and I will be doing a review of these features:

  • Optical Navi Key™ 
  • High-quality images and video using the 5 megapixel digital camera
These are just some of the major features.

...Dump site to Fame

I'm always inspired by stories of change. I watched a feature story on this particular guy who a few weeks back would not believe  he would be seen all over the world (BBC, YouTube, etc)and even have the opportunity to travel or even shoot his music video in  London.

Eric Obuh had been a scavenger and all he did was to source for scraps and sell them at the dump yard just to make a living. Along side he was a musician and also used the little money he got from the dump yard to support his music.
 ...every bit of scrap he finds brings him one step closer to his dream of launching his music career- BBC

His life had a new turn when he was featured on the controversial BBC documentary,  "Welcome to Lagos" in the first episode he was one of the major characters and he shared his experience on the dump yard. He also had the opportunity to share his music with  millions of people around the world. A rare opportunity many artists who have been in music for years do not have.

I  would be right if I say his story can be tagged "the dump site to fame". Its a story of change.
The documentary brought him to limelight and he is no more a scavenger. Although he was denied a UK visa for a concert on the 31st of May he still has hope of traveling sometimes in June.

PS:  I was not a fan of the Welcome to Lagos documentary. I believe there are better stories of Lagos which could be told, not just the slums, the dump sites or the shanties. This documentary could just be the single story of Lagos that would be told to people around the world.
