I'm confronting the fears that lie deep within me
I know it’s just a lie
A False Experience Appearing Real
Painting a vivid picture
Trying to validate its existence
In a bid to see me bow
And lose the strength I gathered in its absence
It actually seems like a real experience
It tries; it really tries to weaken my judgment
It tries to suppress my motivation, inspiration and expectations
Telling me failure is inevitable
Telling me my goals, dreams and desires are unattainable
Telling me that hurdles, obstacles, mountains and challenges are unassailable
But deep within me
As small as it may seem
My resilience keeps me up
To my faith I hold strong
Telling me not to give up
Hold on
Even with the little strength and conviction left
As small as it may seem
I wont give up my faith
I wont lose my Mind

Courage is not the lack of fear but the ability to face it
I would need your comments on this one. How do you control FEAR?

fear is something which tries to control life.. and you're so right: A False Experience Appearing Real and in my post I wrote I will fear no evil (Psalm 23) and I don't know how I control fear.. when it comes I just hold on it would maybe scratch me but the faith is always stronger
Indeed, fear is 'False Experience Appearing Real'
It's a naught with a naughty attitude. Fear drives off faith, and vice versa. Faith is fear's worst enemy. I do confront my fear with faith in God's words and promises for me. It may look bleak and doubtful but guess what? "...its the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" - The bible talks about the "the hope that maketh not ashamed" - Tht's faith :)

I especially like that line that defines fear as "A False Experience Appearing Real"...and the bible says that Faith, which is the opposite of fear, is the "evidence of things not seen".So how come it is so difficult for us to have faith and yet fear rules the lives of a lot of people!

I agree with LDP, the best way to confront fear is through faith in the Word of God which never fails.
By the way I like the picture especially the striking blue eye :)
Did you know that it's in our weaknesses that God's strength is made perfect?
And on how to control our fears...we just need to remember what is written about us. But the fears will come...they always come. But they always go away too.
interesting post, perfect description of a struggle with fear. the best way to confront fear is to shove what it hates the most at its face - faith!

so this issue of faith and fear has been on my mind since...and then it hits me that they are 2 sides of d same coin- both involve d ability 2 claim what is not as if it were. However, while fear claims impossibility in d midst of difficulty,faith claims possibility & success. So choose this day whose report u will believe and what you will have!
